My journey into the world of support services started with love – the love I have for my children and my belief that everyone deserves respect, opportunities, and help when they need it. I’ve always been determined to make things better for my kids and for others like them.
When my child was diagnosed with autism, instead of seeing it as a problem, I saw it as a chance for them to be themselves and grow in their own unique way. But back then, finding the right support was tough. Services were hard to find and not always helpful. After years of taking care of my family and studying along the way, I decided to go back to work
I knew I could use my experiences to help others facing similar challenges. Working in mental health, I saw how support services were scattered and not always easy to access. So, I knew there was something I could do to help.
One day, while talking to my children, they suggested that I start my own service. They said, “Mum, you care so much. You could really make a difference.”
Their words touched me deeply, and that’s when I decided to create Harmony Care Support Services.
Harmony Care comes from wanting to bring peace and unity into people’s lives, inspired by my own family.
The name itself is a tribute to my children, the idea started by incorporating the initial letters of their names. As they are my purpose and my ongoing inspiration to keep working to make the world a better place. I chose the name “Harmony,” to symbolise the unity and cohesion in my family and my devotion to you.
